Often we allow worries and negative thoughts to take charge in our heads and it can be difficult not to allow them to take hold. Our ‘toolbox’ of coping skills stops working. Often we turn to unhealthy coping strategies through binge eating, drinking too much, or distracting ourselves obsessively on social media, but these don’t work either.
I believe these anxious feelings and thoughts can be a sign that something is wrong and they’re trying to tell us that we need to do something about them.
I believe that seeking help to relieve your stress and anxiety is not a sign of weakness, but a basic human need which we source in order to thrive as human beings.
